Location:
Located in the center of the city, opposite the castle and very close to the roman amphitheater and the archeological site.
Situated in the vast Hawran plain, some 145 km south of Damascus. It is an extremely ancient city mentioned in the lists of Tutmos III and Akhenaten in the fourteenth century B.C.

The 1st Nabateen cities in the 2nd century B.C. Bosra was made the capital of the Province of Arabia in 106 A.D. It became a crossroads on the caravan routes and the official seat and residence of the Imperial legate.

After the decline of the Roman Empire, Bosra played a significant role in the history of early Christianity. It was also linked to the rise of Islam. Its glorious past can be seen today in the extremely rich & impressive corpus of ancient monuments from different periods:
Nabateen, Roman famous example is the well preserved second century roman amphitheater still in use, which seats 15,000 spectators.

How to get there:Following the highway of of Daraa-Jordan which consist of almost 100 km until the bridge of Saida then turn right and continue for another 30 km, crossing several small villages. You will find yourself in Bosra.
